US Govt wants in on the Gold Rush

Hey I just saw this article on Yahoo, looks like the US Govt wants to get into the gold game...

Mint unveils U.S.'s 1st 24-karat gold coin


I especially like the part toward the end where they discuss the recent price adjustment.

They were charging $875 per 1 oz coin when the price of gold was approximately $700 an ounce (25% markup) but they have reduced it to $800 now that gold is about $575 (39% markup).

Damn these guys are good.
