More news about Speedywallet
I discovered that I could not log in to my speedywallet account today, so I called VAT (parent company) and talked with a really nice man...
here is what he told me:
my account has been disabled because it was a negative balance
even tho they loaded some accounts last week to bring them positive, then they disabled the accounts to keep them from accruing more fees
they are still working on the final solution with Picpay
probably what will be finalized will be a speedywallet account that can but does not have to be attached to a debit card
it could just be transferred directly from the speedywallet account to your bank account
and probably we will all have to open new accounts because the disabled accounts cannot be re-enabled
so dont worry too much about the currently disabled one
Then on the P-I-P-S forum, some else posted that they had called VAT and gotten a similar message, plus the following:
was told they are working with PIPS to upgrade our accounts and provide a new technology that is much better than what’s currently been provided, the new technology will likely be available at the end of this week or next, we will have the ability to pay bills and purchase items online and for those that have cards they will likely send new cards. All accounts are currently disabled due to the change of programs. This tells me that PIPS is actively working to get this going and that we will likely get our money soon (my guess in about two to three weeks)
So all looks fairly promising.... I am cautiously optimistic.
